Default Headlight problem

I have a '97 850 T5 Sedan. The headlights are not working. Hopefully someone can point me to the answer.
Here are some details:
I have replaced the following; dash switch (I have switched between the 3 modes); multi-switch (high/low beam selector, cruise, turn signal); head light relay; and the low beam lamps. All fuses are intact.
The dash lights come on. The turn signals, side-marker, tail, break lights and rear fog lights all work properly. The front fog lights do not work. The lamp failure light on the dash illuminates on start up but goes out once the car is running as it should.

When I pull the multi-switch the high beams come on as long as I keep the handle pulled but go out when I release the handle. The low beams also come on, or go off, as they toggle between high and low. The only way I can have head lights is to drive around with the switch pulled on the high beams on.

I'm stumped. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I would check the headlight relay again. IT sounds like it is not operating as it should with the voltage signal from the headlight switch, but is trying to work with the multi switch. Check to make sure it is in correctly and if so, try another relay.
