Default Headlights Dim Letting Off Gas, Stereo Drops Out, Downshifting Slight Slam

I just wanted to post my problem and solution for the issues I was having with my 96 Turbo. New battery 6 months ago and recently I noticed my headlights getting dim when I was stopped at a light in traffic. The bulbs were older so I replaced them (And saved the others for backups of course.) but I still had the issue. I recently did work on it and pulled the battery cable off so I figured maybe I didn't tighten that down but it was well connected and clean. I could live with the headlights dimming for the time being as I needed to clear my garage out to make room to work on it, but the problem got worse. The headlights would cut out when coming to a stop, the stereo would drop out and the transmission would slam a bit on the downshift. Now more concerned it was going to leave me stranded and mess my transmission up I tested the voltage across the battery while running and it was all over the place at idle. When I would rev the car it would go up but not get to 13+ volts as it should be with everything on. This leads me to the alternator. So without removing it, I opened up the side and pulled the voltage regulator and found the brushes to be extremely worn. Replaced with one from eBay for about $40 since nothing else was available and shes back to normal.
