Default left in the dark

My wife's 2004 XC90 Xenon Headlights went out one at a time a few days a part.

I should have replaced the 1st one when it went out but was unable to get to the dealership for a replacement bulb.

Anyway, Last night the second one went out at night and we were left stranded in the dark.

Few questions...

Is there anyway to get the daytime running headlights to work at night? I know there is a sensor that switches from daytime to Xenon headlights.

Second, Is there a kit to convert from Xenon back to regular bulbs? I'm tired of replacing these bulbs. I replaced the blown ones just last November and to replace them at the dealership is $144 each. I know I can get them cheaper else where...

Thanks in advance guys.

Im not aware of a way to make the daytimes come one at night.
If it were me I would buy an aftermarket HID kit and run that.

Can I convert from Xenon to plain old regular headlights?

I think if you were to you would have to buy new headlight assemblies. Im not 100% sure though I have never tried the conversion.
