HELP regarding P0410 code
Hi all,
Have a new P0410 code off the OBD2 tester. Just replaced the sensor from the P0108 code check engine light was off for a week and the new code popped up. Now have black duckt tape covering the darn check engine light.
I gather through the net that the P0410 is a secondary air pump failure code.
How do I fix this the easiest, cheapest way please??
They are having a spring dust off in Yipsilanti next week, I can go down n ask fellow Volvo owners /network in finding a nice mechanic who will fix for me?

That code indicates either faulty signal, or a leak. The code actually references two codes in my system. If it's the signal, you can try checking the contacts and the relay. If it's a leak, "a muffled sucking sound can be heard from the engine compartment when the engine is idling." You can try checking the hoses and see if there is a crack or loose connection. Not really anything else listed in the repair section.
I think 8 of 10 times it's a leak. So, look at your vacuum lines real good, air hoses, etc. You maybe should also change the seal on your fuel cap and make sure you click that thing 3 or 4 times when putting the gas cap back on.
I think it all but impossible to steal gas out of post 90's Volvo. You also want to make sure the cap is a Volvo cap. Others will not seal the system properly. I tried buying a new after market cap once and it caused the code, not to mention breaking in just 2 weeks.
