HELP removing AC compressor
ALL,
I come to you with hat in hand so to speak. I need to remeove the AC compressor on my son's 95 Turbo sedan (850 of course), as I want to re-shim the clutch. Looking at the engine bay, it is TIGHT in there, and it looks as if the power steering pump, and the alternator need to come out to get to the compressor. In actuality, the timing belt job I did looks easy compared to this.
For those of you who have taken out the compressor, could you please give me a general step by step on how you did it. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Glenn

RE: HELP removing AC compressor
Hi Glenn,
Sorry I couldn't help you with compressor removal, as I haven't removed mine. If there is no space on the bottom, it probably would have to come upward, after removing the PWS pump & alternator.
Tech may be back soon, and I'm sure he can give you instructions in a few sentences.
Regards,
JPN

A great place to get "how to" stuff is mathews volvo:
http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/
I'm not sure if the instructions you need are there or not. Since tech is not here, I've been going there and to volvospeed.com quite a bit.
