Default How can I replace the burned instrument bulbs on my 850?

I have a small situation. My Volvo 850 Cluster has burned out bulbs. I'm talking about the mini bulbs that "twist". (For example the bulb for the CEL, ABS, SRS)

What's the part number? I tried removing the burned bulbs from the base but I guess they might be soldered on? Trying to remove them from the base, the bulb shattered and made my fingers bleed lol.

I tried calling junkyards but none had clusters. I have a VDO cluster if that helps. I assume these should work but my eyes are horrible so I don't know if these will work or not. Let me know! Thank you!

I don't remember the part #. But they can be picked up at any auto parts store. (They come in 2 packs) If you bring the bulb you'll easily be able to match it up. And yes they are soldered and not worth the hassle of trying to unsolder/resolder. Just buy the bulbs at Napa, Autozone etc they come with the bases already soldered, so you just twist it in.

I know it might be sacrilige but for small stuff like this I'll just use the dealer. I know I'm getting the right part and they still have almost everything for these. They even had my radio bulbs LOL! I doubt IPD or FCP will have small bulbs and trying to get cute with the auto parts store isn't worth the 8 bucks I'd save.

Thanks you all are awesome! Little by little you guys are making my Volvo a great daily driver!

Ordered a few off Napa. A dollar each so if it works great. If not then bummer lol

Sorry for asking all the "what to buy" questions. I bought this car from a criminal and he hackjobbed so much stuff. This 850 deserved a new caring owner lol.

The dealer where I lives charges $18 for each radio light bulb. So, for 6, that would be over $115. I'm not about to pay $115 for $10 worth of light bulbs. Yes iPd sells those bulbs and a lot more. I like to purchase from suppliers that support our make so I don't turn around in 5 years and have no parts suppliers at all.

Wow. Mine charged like $8/ea for the the radio bulbs and I thought that was nuts. The climate control bulbs from IPD are a couple bucks less so it probably was fair enough tho. Glad IPD has bulbs. I bookmarked that!

That was in reference to chain parts stores. Often they don't have the part you need and you then have to drive to another store, or they give you the wrong item (bringing the old one in is mandatory but hard for some whose Volvo is their only car - like the oil drain plug washer recently for example, made the error of buying it first!). Since my time is valuable i call that getting cute, or penny wise and pound foolish as my grampy would say.

Buying from IPD or FCP is fine. They get it right and I use them when I can. I'm very glad RSPI pointed out they have bulbs. Dealer is emergency only.
