How many hours do you think this job would take?
My job requires weekend work, I tried to coordinate my 850 repairs around that but work came earlier than I expected. Right now I have all the parts and just want to do it, but I'm going to be stuck at work. I'm reluctantly considering breaking down and taking it to a shop to have this stuff done. Trying to figure out how many hours it's all worth for the shop, and for me (if I want to pull an all nighter and do it).
-PCV servicing
-Timing belt + all accessories
-Heater hoses and junction at firewall
-Trailing arm bushing
I figure for a shop the PCV is 2 hours, timing belt 3, trailing arm 1.5, and heater hoses 2. Does that sound right? I know for me, each of these would take at least 5 hours.
Thanks for any help/advice.

You're probably good to go with your estimates, except for the heater hoses. That really should take about an hour... BUT you'll probably have to wait a few hours for the antifreeze to cool down to the point where you won't burn yourself
Plenty of write-ups between here and MVS to help you though all of those repairs - Jblackburn did a killer write-up for the PCV. For the delta link, make sure you have the Volvo tool and a lot of patience before you get started.
Good luck!

-PCV servicing = First timer, turbo 5 to 6, NA 2 to 3.
-Timing belt + all accessories = First timer, 4 to 5.
-Heater hoses and junction at firewall = IDK, My guess is 3 hours.
-Trailing arm bushing = IDK

I agree on the first two but have not done the second two. I think now that I have the first two if I did it again it would probably take half that. It always take longer the first time around.
Has anyone ever worked on anything that didn't run into unexpected problems? When I did my PCV service everything was going like clockwork until one line wouldn't disconnect. I think it was an EGR valve line. I messed with that thing for quite a while before I made it disconnect (with a hacksaw I seem to remember). You KNOW it's gonna take longer than you plan, just accept it. It's not a race anyway. Trouble is, at least where I live it's just about past motorcycle season when I have an alternative vehicle to get back and forth to work on. So right now the 850 needs to be functional, and generally it is. Up here everything seems to rust together so easy repairs become- well not so easy.
Just an opinion you know... D
