I just bought my dad a 94 850 turbo, the problem is that it didn't come with an owners manual. I need to know how many quarts it takes to fill the oil up. Thanks

 

Here is the Specs that Volvo says.
If the car has a red handle dipstick it holds 5.5 quarts.
If it has an orange handle dipstick then it holds 6.0 quarts.

I always put in 6 quarts and it always goes to the top of the makes on the dipstick.

 

thanks for the info as soon as I get off work I'm going to change the oil and do a whole freaggin tune up. It'll be fun.

FYI if you are going to replace the Dist. cap and rotor you will need an allen wrench to remove the rotor.
