Default Installing a rear-facing seat

I'm considering getting a rear-facing seat for my 1994 850. Do rear facing seats from 240s or 700s work? How hard are these to install? Other than scouring craigslist, is there a good place to look for them? Thanks for the help!

Check with Erie Volvo 1-888-865-8613 to see if they have one. If not they will be able to tell you what models will work in the 850. I know that all 850's and the 98-00 V70's are the same, but not sure about other models.

I would think the width of the seat would be the most critical issue. Worst case is that you may have to fabrociate some brackets to mate up the mounting points between the seat and the car

I checked with Erie Volvo and that would have been $800 for one from them, so I passed. They did tell me that the seats from the v70s and 850s are the only ones that will fit. Has anyone installed one of these before? Is there anything I should be aware of? My 850 hasn't had one in it before.

Bingo. That VolvoSpeed writeup was money. It looks like a big job, but do-able. Thanks.
