Default Instrument cluster says disc when in ignition ii ??

Just out of curiosity has it happen to anyone before? The thing is was that this morning I wanted to listen to my favor radio station for a few minutes that can only be recived from the car's radio for some reason, it's nothing but static with the radios inside my house. Anyway, I put the ignition on position i to listen the radio, but later I decided to check if my signal lights were all working so I put it on position ii. That's when the little display screen at the bottom only says disc, and after that it dissappars and becomes blank. I was never able to get it to repeat itself after that, so I'm not too worried. I just wanted to know why it did that.

The control switch might be bad. I see it more on the S70's than on the 850's.
