Default Interior 'piece' in front of the dash pad

Is the black plastic strip, with the blinking LED in it for the factory alarm, part of the dash pad, or separate?

Once I pull the top dash pad, how difficult is it to remove/replace?

Mine is cracked from the sun, and I'd really like to change it when I pull the top dash pad to replace the gears in the odometer - assuming it's not part of the dash pad assembly.

That part is part of the main dash assembly..

You cant just replace it you would have to get a new dash

or get one of these..

Where do I order one of those lexan pieces?

Can you recommend a type of glue to use? There are a lot of choices, but so many plastics react different ways...

Thanks!

Interior Upgrades - Show Room - Volvospeed Forums

My buddy matt down here makes them, he makes limited quantites so you have to get in on the waiting list.

The first 24 are already spoken for but the next round will be made soon.

My advice for future readers is to never touch that black strip. In fact, dont even look at it or it will crack.

Very sound advice. Mine just cracked a whole lot worse and part broke off while I was removing the dash pad to replace the odometer gears.
