Does anybody know what the IPD stage 2 ecu tune is?

Did you happen to maybe call IPD and ask?

 

Boxpin... I actually did think of calling them. Unfortunately when the question came up they were already closed. So looked at their website, I didn't see any ECM's that labeled Stage 2. So since I was not in a hurry for the info and already being on the computer I thought I would ask for some info on the forum.

What car do you have and what are you trying to achieve?

 

I have an 1996 850R... I would like to get a bit more fun out of the car. Its a daily driver so I don't want to blow it up but a bit more horsepower a little quicker off the line would be great.

I am laughing because I was serious. You should be calling them.

Here is the real kicker...since you are on the road I called them for you. I talked to Ken.

IPD is constantly changing/improving their tunes. They USED to offer a Stage1,2 and 3. They dont anymore. If you found one it would be used. Now they only offer a single tune and a Stage3 that goes with a package of upgrades. Here are the specs on the one tune. I have highlighted your year.



That being said. I used to have a Stage 1 ECU from IPD. It had the 15PSI fuel cut off removed so I was able to run a MBC on that tune at 18PSI. I ran a 13.6 quarter and it passed California Smog with an 18T on the engine.

The tunes are great, didnt notice any difference over stock other than the performance.
