Thumbs down Issues with the steering on my 850

Well long story short I am having a issue with my steering. I replaced my power steering rack, pump and all hoses and even put a powersteering fluid radiator cooler just because it cost five dollars and thought it looked cool. Well my car has been running great for a good five months now, steering has been so much smoother. Just recently the power steering pump was making that sound when the fluid is low so I checked and it was. I refilled the fluid and it ran fine until it went low again. I jacked up the car and checked bother sides of the power steering rack..passenger side was good....but on the driver side the only issue was the rubber cover that basically clips on the tierod was loose so tightening it up. My car now when i fully turn the wheel it makes a clunking sound but only when i fully turn the wheel, it has never made that sound before. So that is why I am bringing this issue up to you guys, I hope you can help me out.

Thank You
Owner of a 1995 Volvo 850 GLT Wagon

You need to find the leak as you couldn't of run it this long that low that the pump would make noise. That and although you could probably warranty the pump if you had purchased it new, it's best not to have to go in there and replace it again because it wears / burns out.
The clunk could be anything from a bad outer tie rod end, ball joint, broken sway bar link or even an upper strut mount or bearing plate. Might even be a broken spring. The clunk you need to get the vehicle up in the air and visually inspect it and tug on stuff to see if you can feel any play.
Maybe have someone turn the wheel when you're under it so you can see the parts articulating.

Sorry about the late response, I just wanted to update you on the outcome. I put the car on lifts and found out the mount that holds the preasure and return hose down was broken so the hoses were moving. The one hose closest to the oil pan was hitting the oil pan when I was making turns. This resulted in a tiny hole which caused the leak. Also sense I fixed the issue I have not heard any knocking so I think it was the hose. Car runs great now!
