Jerking when in reverse (automatic)
Volvo 850 2.5 GL wagon. 1996. 180,000 km. No problems with ATM so far, and the fluid level is good (I checked using the detailed instructions I found on a Volvo enthusiast's Youtube channel, which involved running the car until warm, going through the gears 5 seconds each etc before checking the level) The oil colour is gold and not burned or smelling.
In last 2 months I have noticed sometimes when in reverse the traction slips with a mild jerk. This happens when there is a bit of power added as when I am reversing out of our driveway which slopes upwards (ie reversing up a hill). No problems when reversing on the flat.
I live in a Pacific islands country with no Volvo dealer. Is this a sign the car is on the way out?
