the "limited edition" emblem is probably one of those aftermarket add- on bling things. The 780, in and of itself, WAS a limited edition... so there was no need to put that on the car, because it would be redundant.

As for whether or not it's a turbo... there were two engine choices, either the regular 2.3L 4-cyl Turbo that was available on the 740 of the time, or the 2.8L "PRV" V6 that was available at the time on those cars (then usually called a 760) The 2 engines made about the same amount of power, however, the V6 is a bit of a nightmare to work on, can't really be modded, is worse on gas and not as durable as the 4- cylinder turbo. The turbo isn't as smooth as the V6, but that's its only drawback. It's nearly indestructible, can be easily modded, and it's easy to work on. The V6 was a joint venture between Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo (hence the "PRV" and was used as a go- to powerplant on a whole bunch of mid to late 80s cars. It wasn't the terrible engine that some make it out to be, but it had its faults, mainly that it was underpowered, difficult to repair due to placement of parts, inefficient, and it did have a propensity for blowing head gaskets- its only real mechanical deficiency. The same engine was used in the DeLorean, the Eagle Premier/ Dodge Monaco, and several other unusual/ one- off cars. Like I said- it was shoved into just about everything, and was sold under license to every small or custom automaker that was looking for an engine to stick in a midsize car.

Long story short: JUMP ON THIS, especially if it's a turbo. If it's a V6, just understand that there are limitations. You'll probably find out more in the 700/900/200 forums.
