Just Had Some Work Done To Fix AC
My AC wouldn't work when I tried it for the first time this year. The compressor would not come on at all. Took it to a local shop and they charged and put die in and it worked. Said I needed a new serpentine belt and the top raidator hose too. I said go ahead and put them on. While doing that they saw the condensor was leaking so I had them put that on along with a dryer. Total cost just over $1,000.
I must be getting pretty old because I would not usually pay to have the belt and hose done. But I think their prices were fairly reasonable for the amount of work they did.
I'm now due for timing belt at 211K. I have done it myself in the past, but don't know if I'm up to it any longer. Hell next thing you know I'll be paying somebody to change my oil. Not yet though.

Wow, over a 1G? serpentine and hose would of been only like $150 cheaper. I hope it lasts you a couple of years of worry free headaches. How cold did they manage to get it? I got my vent temps down to 32 degrees on a good day. It hovers around 36 to 38 degrees.
Outside temp read 91 on the way home and I was nice and cool inside. The ac in these cars works very good. I had to have it fixed or it would have sat all summer being have two other cars that work fine. I just like driving the Volvo as my everyday driver to and from work. No way could I get a car near as nice for $1,000 or even five times that amount.
