I must say that although I did not have the limp home mode issue, the new software recall upgrade has really woken up the throttle response/power on my 99 N/A. It feels like a totally different car. Before when I hit the gas there used to be some lag between when I physically pushed on the gas and the ECM figuring out how much air to allow into the engine to allow how much air to make the power desired. Now it seems like the lag is almost gone and mabye even possibly the software upgrade added a small horsepower gain. It might be all in my head but that's been my observation so far.

Anybody else have the software recall done? If so what do you think of it so far?

 

I had the software recall done a few weeks ago too; so far it seems about the same (but then again I'm not a really aggressive driver anyways).

 

yup, it does drive pretty good when everything is in inorder.

Well, I named my car Helga. And yeah Helga is the veedub girl from the "unpimp your auto" commericals. Still, the fact that my car is named helga and the character is named helga, I took a pic of her and made it my post icon
