Default keep buring center stop light..WT?????

Hi guys...this happened recently. I got the "burnt light" come on the dash...so i noticed that the center brake light wasn't working...i changed it last week...now today the light came on again (usually comes on when pressing brake pedal) and now the same center light bulb is burnt...what can this be? any ideas? oh ya...the light that i changed was not a stock volvo bulb...thanks

Have you been checking the connection? Also, is the fillament in the bulb burned? I've had bulbs where the fillament isn't burned, but it won't light.

is the bracket holding it loose? vibrations could cause that.

hi guys...i don't think the bracket is loose, and the wires going to it are connected okay...when i changed out the bulb the first time, the filament seemed to be okay, intact...very strange....would it make a difference if it is not a stock volvo bulb or it doesn't make a difference? thanks

It does not make a difference with the bulb. Maybe just ironic.

Nope the brake light switch will not cause that.
