Default car dies at stop light

I bought my S80 Feb 2006 also bought extended warranty. Have had the CVVT board replaced the sensor for that, car was dying on highway. replaced timing belt fuel pump, ETM on Volvo. recall software, and now the dealer tells me the Catlylic Converter is causing the car to die. I requested the dealer to se tthe idel to 1000 RPM's because the car rolls backwards on an incline told they can change the idel. I have been told the problem can not be the Catlylic Converter. Please help. $4000.00 in repairs since 2-14-2006.

I can't see the Cats stalling the car either.
I would ask to see all documents they have. Codes ETC.
