It's good to be back to this great site. I have posted several questions some time back and I got really good answers and I thank everybody for that. Unfortunately I could not remember my password so I was forced to re-subscribe. Anyway, I have just encountered a problem with the KRE. It used to work fine but since the past two days it suddenly went dead. I can lock the doors fine with the keys but not with the FOB (I think thats what you call it reading from previous posts). Another strange thing was that when I started using the key to lock the doors, it will always deadlock and that is good because that's what happens when I lock the car with the remote. However, it doesn't deadlock anymore. My question is and bearing in mind that I have read previous posts on this but were not really any precise to my question, what is there that I can do to get the KRE to work again? I just went down to the car and tried to reprogram the KRE but with no luck! Please guys I love my car and I want it always at its best. Thanks in advance.

 

If it doesn't lock fully with the fob or the physical key you are possibly looking at a relay gone bad (or even simply a fuse).
