Default Knock Sensor Install

I ordered the knock sensor kit 272234 and it looks pretty straightforward with one exception. It comes with six little connector pins and seals. I've also got two identical plugs part number 979040. Am I supposed to wire up these plugs and connect them to the existing wiring in the car? The kit comes with no directions whatsoever and all my other info sources don't address what to do with these connector pins. Here's some pictures of what I'm talking about:

If the plugs in the car don't match then you will need to install them. At one time there was an Upgrade for the cars. Now they sell it with the plugs and connectors just incase.

let us know how it goes, I need to do the same thing, but after looking in the Haynes manual about the front sensor, am a little scared. Hopefully it goes well.

Thanks. I hope I can use my old plugs and don't have to do the splice job!

I have been at this for the last couple of days and got stuck on one of the manifold bolts. It has been pretty straightforward up until this. I may run out of time and have to take it to my mechanic.
