ok so my stereo locked.... why? well i had the code but i couldnt find it in my messy glove compartment. i thought i remembered it but i kept putting the wrong code in....so it locked up and now it wont let me put the code on...it just says OFF. i tryed disconnecting the battery to reset it but nothing.
anyone know how i can get my stereo up and running again......
P.S. i found the card with the stereo code, so i know it now.

 

Either disconnect the battery for a couple of hours or pull the radio out and disconnect it for a couple hours. We had this issue on a friends 850. Once the radio locks up after several incorrect code entries it seems the radio needs to be totally disconnected from the power source for a a few hours. When you plug it back in, it should go back to the security code entry mode and from there you can enter the correct code. We disconnected his overnight and it let us put in the code when we plugged it back in the next morning.

I thought I read somewhere that you had to leave the ignition on for about 2-3 hours to reset the head unit to accept a code? I'm not sure though.

 

Yes, in position II for 2 hours if I am not mistaken.

i left the key on position I for 2 hours......
i actually called the guy who sold it to me and he told me...but thankz.
