Default locks and choke

two cold nights around -3 degrees and my locks are frozen.had to use a hot cloth to get the key into locks never had this trouble with my primera.i also have noticed that when i start the engine it revs around the 1000-1200 mark but sometimes drops to around 800 revs before rising again,it sometimes sounds as if it is going to stop, again with primera it would sit at 1200-1500 revs until warm then drop to 800,wondered if these two incidents are common to the 850 or do i have a problem.

Im not to sure about the locks. The idle going up is normal. It might be time for a throttle cleaning. If there is a lot of carbon build up it wacks the computer some.Try cleaning the throttle body first.

hi tech, would adding a fuel cleaner additive to the fuel clean the throttle or is it better to strip out and clean.another thing i have noticed in the last few days, the car is leaning towards the driver side, worse at rear.the body at the drivers rear is almost at the same height as the top of the tyre where as at the passenger side the body sits about 2 inches above the tyre.i presume that a weak spring would be to blame and if so any recommendations as to replacements, the car is under warranty so hopefully it will cover springs, the policy states suspension and shock absorbers,so could be a grey area.

The additive will only clean the injectors not the throttle body. You need to remove the throttle body and clean it.If you are still under factory warranty there should be no problem replacing either the spring or shock.
