Losing oil at camshaft seal = clogged PCV system???
FCP posted a video today on their Youtube page that details the PCV breather service on an 850
Timing is good, as I ordered their kit yesterday for my 850R.
The guy in the video did the whole job in 20 minutes! I was hoping mine would take half a day or less.

Thanks guys, I thought that my original setup had an extra hose. I guess the previous owner(s) added it to prevent oil from overflowing? Perhaps it was having PCV problems when I bought it a year and a half ago. 
And man, John.... I must have the worst timing in the world. Jeezy Creezy. I was trying to read 6 pages of black & white (pictures were absolutely no help on paper) while doing this job step-by-step. And somehow I missed the point that the 4 lower bolts on the intake manifold didn't need to be removed. Spent a good bit of time fishing for dropped bolts and trying to put that one under the thermostat back in place.
I can now understand why this job can take some only 2 hours... And it makes me not afraid to just take the manifold off tomorrow to drill and tap the damn throttle body bolt properly. Those 4 lower manifold bolts, having not brittle fuel/vacuum lines, and knowing where the PCV hoses are actually supposed to run makes a huge difference.
Oh well.... live and learn!

OK, so I finally found a bit more time to tie up some loose ends and get the thing rolling again to see how bad my throttle body issue is....
At first, it was making all kinds weird noises like the motor was about to blow up, but I'm guessing it was just some dirt, sticks, rocks, or whatever.... I just don't know what would have made them fling around like crazy when the car wasn't actually moving. Still blowing my mind.
But the throttle body is definitely whining, and I'll have to take the intake manifold off to drill and tap it sometime very soon. When the car was doing the idle relearn process, it died once... but never again.
I was able to drive it around, except I had no brakes!!! I'm fairly certain that the master cylinder hose isn't connected to anything. Noticed one last unconnected hose, but I didn't realize what it was until I got in the car. Perhaps you can tell me where this is actually supposed to go??? (Finger represents where the hose is going... underneath the air box. I'm about 99% sure the other end is connected to the master cylinder.)

That end is actually hooked up.... I'm referring to the end in the picture that's NOT hooked up. (I guess the finger pointing was of no real advantage.

Does it connect to the bottom of the air box somewhere?? I just don't see anywhere for that hose to connect to....
EDIT: On second thought, I think that hose must connect to the manifold somewhere... but am still not exactly sure where.

I'm sorry but it's too nasty to go out and confirm this (freezing rain/sleet). I'm not positive this is correct but it looks like it should be the connection.

That is actually for another hose. But I looked right underneath that one, more behind the IAC motor and saw where it actually goes.
Mostly just a matter of seeing how far the hose could reach and voila!
