PCV clogged. Fixable
Hey,
just took my car into get the timing belt replaced and the mechanic told me that I have oil leaking in my engine and that my pccv system is clogged. He recommends replacing it but I was wondering if it could just as easily be unclogged and work fine. Also, wondering if the oil leaks were a related problem? tell me what you think.

In some cases the box and hoses can be cleaned but need to came out. also the PCV system goes inside the oil pan and it can also be clogged down there - the oil pan must be removed. the oil leak can be due to PCV system being clogged and raising the pressure inside the oil pan. It's a common issue.
