Here is a link to your manual.

With the filter mine takes nearly 2 gallons.

I put 5.5 quarts in mine and then start it and check it and add until full. I think it calls for 5.8 quarts.

The factory manual states:

5.6 QTS for NA (including filter)
6.3 QTS for Turbo* (including filter)

*0.95 QTS for the oil cooler (it is not an absolute necessity to drain the oil cooler but I always do).

I usually fill the filter with clean oil, as well as coat the rubber gasket with thin film of clean oil. The filter on 850s attaches vertically onto the engine so it holds all oil during installation (unless you do the oil during severe earthquake[8D]), which is very nice. Then I dump 5.5 QTS without even thinking, and slowly add & check the dipstick to avoid overfilling.

All the above answers are just the info you need. The only bit of advice left that I can offer is for you to consider using synthetic oil. I never used to, but once I started I will not use anything else.

I use Valvoline High Mileage Super Blend 10W30 and only use Volvo or Mann filters and change every 3,000-4,000 miles.
