Default lost hadlights/directionals and info

1999 S80 non turbo. Wife was just coming home from store when she said the info panel that tells you such things like how many miles till empty and if there is a warning etc just went black. Seems like the directional also are not working etc...any thoughts??

Ok let me clarify, I just checked again.

I do not have directional s.
Apparently the two front doors do not lock with the remote control
I do have lights in the front
on the info screen it does have readings like if the door is open etc....
it does not let me get into any of the info on the car though such as mpg till empty etc...

Yes it is the steering wheel module. There is supposed to be a new software that is a 50/50 chance it will work to make it all work again.

does the pulling of the fuse usually resolve the issue, or does it mean that there is a problem waiting to happen..
Also, I saw there may be a TSB for this with a comoputer upgrade...does this mean the dealer does it for free or they still charge if there is a TSB?

Thanks again!

TSB means customer pays for it. It is just like an update that's all not a recall.
