Our trusty 850- the low coolant light has started intermittently coming on for a few seconds then goes off. Yes, the coolant level is fine- in the overflow bottle. Is it necessary/possible to check the level in the actual radiator, or is this likely a bad sensor or loose wire? I'm not sure where the sensor is.


Any help available?

 

Pull the coolant bottle out and see if the sensor at the bottom is not broken.

 

Yep, most likely the coolant overflow bottle sensor has gone bad.

 

My 95 850 and my buddy's 97 t5m both have the light go on like this. His goes on every time he get on the throttle
