M56L in local junk yard
There's a 1993 850 in the local yard with a manual transmission in it. I may be interested in grabbing this. Is there any difference between this and the M56H as far as installation and reliability/longevity goes?
Also, if the M56H is better, would the pedal box and shifter from this 1993 match up to an M56H?

They're the exact same transmissions. You can't see any of the differences except that the L has a speed sensor on it and the H doesn't. They're made of plastic, but many people with built 850s are running them w/o issue.
