In the US, only NA 850s have the manual trannys. And you need one from a 96/97.

What you'll need: Tranny, linkages, pedals, and shifter. That's about it from the car.

Now, not from the car, you need a clutch kit, RMS, axle seals. By rights you should get a new master and slave cylinder. I'm reusing my slave cylinder, but the guy that I got my kit from threw in a new T-5 master cylinder. You will also need your flywheel resurfaced.

Read this just to make sure you know what it takes. Also, talk to tech, he recently just did a manual and is supposed to be doing a write up on it (hopefully he does it soon!!)

Yes hopefully it will be completed soon!! LOL
You will also need to eventually find either a manual tranny ECU for Europe or Canada.
But it will run with the auto ECU(which I am now) Or save up and get the Auto ECU chipped and changed to a manual ECU.(Which some people are working on from what I hear)

It took me a day at work with both cars on lifts and swapping parts from one car to the other and vise versa.

Pretty much all tuning companies have manual ECUs, the only problem is that no one has been able to keep the OBDII with a manual tune, that they're still working on. Except one, Turbo Tuner, which is just starting to become more popular here. Their tunes are ~$900, but what they do is add a USB port to your ecu, so you do all of your tuning, and from what I've read/heard, it's extremely user friendly and the customer service is great, they have also figured out how to keep your OBDII port active with the manual tune. I plan on running TT with my build.

Hopefully I'll be able to. I'm going to have to hold off on some other things that I wanted to do, but oh well. A reputable tune is what, $700? For $200 more you could get TT and never have to buy a tune again.

I talked to the IPD guys and they said that when you run thier ECU you set the gear indicator to nuetral somehow. He said that the motor is getting load info from the other sensors. I was curious If I got an ECU flash now with auto, would I need a new one with a Manual?

Radio16- a great suggestion if possible- is get the whole car to your place and do a side by side swap. that's how I plan to do my swap from the one I found in my town. The guy knows me and said when I fininsh the bring the car back sans trans. We ahven't worked out the details yet, I'm waiting on TECH's write-up.

The car will drive perfectly fine with an auto tune and manual tranny, tech said he's been doing it ever since he did his swap, you'll just have a CEL for missing TCU.

Well there is a few idling issues I have as well but no big deal. On cool days when you first get in and go the first couple of shifts the idle hangs at like 1500.

Also from time to time sitting at a stop the idle will jump up to 1500.
