Default Which Manual Trans should I look for?

1994 850 turbo wagon: going to pull transmission out and do a manual swap. Which transmission will be the best one for me to go with based on ease of installation? Last 8 of vin is r2049482....I know there was a mid year change on these cars, so if that makes a difference, I figured id throw it out there.

Heading to boneyard tomorrow, so quick input would be great, thanks.

If you find a manual grab it. Thats the answer. You want a M56, there is a sticker on the case you can see from under the car in the front that has the gear ratio. If you have a choice I would not get a 4:1 I would go with a 3.7:1 ...again if you have a choice. Remember you need a ton of stuff. Pedals, flywheel, cables, clutch master, etc.

A 93-95 trans. They utilize the speed sensor on the trans case unlike 96+ which uses the ABS sensor.

I personally think your going to have to get what you find. I have had both. I liked the M56H better only because it had the 3.7:1. But, I found another M56H that was 4:1 so you really need to look at the sticker.
