I've been having some real issues with my 1996 volvo 850 GLE, hard to start (turn over for 6+ tries before it fires), then it idles for a little and sputters and stalls, then when its finally going it bucks and surges and/or nearly dies as I accelerate, the weird thing is when I get above 2500 rpm all is good and the car drives great.
There are no codes, I have a B5252FS engine

I replaced the fuel filter, dist. and rotor pin, plugs, air filter, cleaned the throttle body, new throttle position sensor...still no luck. now my flex is ripped from all the bucking.

today I started it up and just before it sputtered to a stall I pulled off the map sensor vacuum line, the idle returned to a some what normal rate (a little hunting) when I returned the vacuum line it went back to the sputtering, pulled the line again and rpms ramped back to normal, I repeated this several times. I'm no mechanic but I think I have a faulty map sensor, the kicker is my map sensor has a big GM stamp on it (Gahhh!) and I can't find any part on line, but it looks like this...
