Default Maybe the Head Gasket?

I have a 94 850 with a 160K miles. I have noticed that there is foaming oil in the oil dipstick tube, but there is clean oil under the oil fill cap and within that area under the cap. I am planning to drain the oil and check the overall condition of the oil but was wondering if there was any known history of water leaking in around the dipstick area. Are headgaskets know to leak on this model?

It is not common on those cars.I have seen the foam on the dipstick before.I think it is a ciondensation thing. If your oil looks good when you drain it clean the dipstick and see if it comes back again.

Thanks for the help. The oil change reveled that the oil is still clean, but it is strange to see that foam in the dipstick tube. I will monitor and press on.

Thanks again!

Your welcome sometimes it the dipstick is not sealed all the way condensation can get in there and cause that.
