Default Need some help...

Hello Tech...

Thanxs for the pervious tips and advise..... I'm pretty new to this volvo 850 troubleshooting.

Is there a way to manually adjust my fuel to air ratio? I know my 02 sensors send the signal to have it adjusted, but can I tune manually also. I have a fuel/air meter hooked up and its alittle to much on the rich side. Also, I'm planning to install new O2 sensors - the OEM are $$$$$. $144.00 for the front and $116.00 for the rear. Do you know of using a Universal O2 sensors on a 850? I've heard it can be done...is that possible? If so, whats the cross refference from the OEM for bosch? I think the last two digits on the part number are ####29 to be used for the front O2 sensor and ####30 for the rear for the universal. Could you verify this???? Also, I'm planning to replace my CAT with an Universal Catco CAT, the specs are a good match. Do you have any advise on this????

Thanxs

I have not messed with universial O2 sensors.I would try to stay as close to stock as possible. As far as I know there is no way to make it run leaner.Check all your vaccum lines really good and pinholes os cracked lines would make it run richer. You could try installing the new O2's and cat first and see if it is still running rich.

In a way you are better running rich than running lean.
