Hey folks this is my first time posting a message on here but im hoping to get an answer to my problem. I have a 96 volvo 850 and on my way home tonight I went to put my driver side window (electric) and the switch is jammed so I cant push it down. On the other hand if I push up on my switch it works fine it just will not budge when I push down on it??? Can someone possibly give me an answer as to what is causing the jam? I've never had a problem with it in the past this is the first time. Ive looked inside as best I could and couldn't figure out what could be causing the problem

 

Maybe something very small fell and is now jamming the switch (maybe crumbs from food?), especially since the switches in 850's are by the center consoles. See if you can remove that switch and spray some WD-40 inside while pushing up and down, that should do the trick.
