Milky gunk in flame trap, yech!@
1995-850 N/A... 185K miles.
I have a lot of oil going to the flame trap. I did a full PCV change months ago. I opened up the flame trap today (it was dripping oil) to change the O ring. Wet...and...milky substance very prominent ... I change the O ring and will take for a drive. Now, it's 28 degrees here, but I had the car running for 40 minutes, then off for one hour, before I took a look. Inside of oil filler cap and dipstick are clean...only milk inside the flame trap!

I'm just curious what the answer is, cause i've seen the same thing. I've serviced my PCV system, and to be honest, i've never seen a clean flame trap. Even weeks after the PCV, I saw the milky stuff, to more oily, to a reddish milk, and everything in between.
