the check engine light was on and it comes on every so often after i reset it . bout 3 months ago did plugs n wires n F filter. Codes came on again today just did cap and rotor thought that may be culprit. when i scanned today i got mis fire in cyl 2,4,5. cleared them and got home before check engine light was on again. this time 4,5. Im frazzled now cuz I ive changed everything and dont know what else to change and car runs fine.

What kind of spark plugs did you use and how did you gap them? The Bosch Multiprong Platinum plugs are death as are the Bosch plug wires. The $1.00 a pop Bosch Copper plugs gapped at 0.028 work the best.

To test the injectors you would have to pull the fuel rail and have someone bump the key and watch the spray pattern.

First thing I would do is pull the plugs and check their condition. If ok, then I would check the plug wire connections, wire resistance, etc....

I have always had good luck with Bosch two-ground electrode platinum. For platinum/iridium I do not mess with gapping as they are factory-set and incorrect gapping may damage the centre electrode tip. However, if I were to buy plugs next time, I would go with genuine Volvo.
