Hey Folks,

My first Volvo so I'm kind of new to this. I have a 95 T-5R and all my dash lights seem fine except for the trip computer/clock under the gauges. By any chance is there a separate switch for this or do I need to start learning how to take the dash apart?

I have a 95' Turbo and the light that illuminated the LCD screen was out when I bought the car. To get to the light is difficult, you must remove the steering column, which also means messing with airbags etc. Also, the light can only be replaced by de-soldering the broken light, and soldering a new one one. Might be more worth it to go to a scrap yard and find a whole new LCD.

Honestly I would just wait until the speedometer breaks or the dash lights go out or something, because it'll be pretty expensive to get back there for just the screen.

 

They are separate bulbs.

The bulb is independent for the screen. Just order a few bulbs from IPD or FCPGroton and take your dash out.
