I'm thinking about taking the plung and doing a manual swap on my wagon. I'm currently looking for a donor car and was wondering which cars would be best and which cars would work? From what I have read it doesn't sound like it would be cost effective to just order all the parts needed from suppliers and the stealer.

Tech,
Did you ever get your cruise control working after the swap? I have only found one post on the issue about cutting a green wire somewhere. The directions were not clear. Do you know anymore about it?
Edit: Found it (http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showpo...59&postcount=1)

I had to grind a prong off a relay to get it to work. You do not need an additional vacuum switch on the clutch arm, only need the vacuum switch on the brake. In reality you could move the switch to the clutch arm if you wish, you just need to know where it is. To add a vacuum switch to the clutch and brake arms you just need a vacuum splitter...which should be on the donor car.
