I have experienced some intermittent starting problems with my 1997 850 T-5 turbo. It did not start a while ago. It would crank but not catch, and turn over. Finally(after 45 minutes) it did, and I promptly filled it with premium at a gas station. That was several weeks ago. I assumed that the gas guage was malfunctioning. Since then, no I've had no problems. Well today, a quarter mile from my home(thank god!) - my car would not start again. I had ample fuel and the battery is fine. It cranked, but would not turn over. Hmm.... So I guess my question is- does this sound like a fuel pump or a relay? I will have someone look at it, of course. Has someone had this happen to them also?

 

When it will not start you need to see what is missing. Fuel,spark or injector pulse.
