Need help with 850 PCV system NON-TURBO
Hi, I see you're new to the forum. I can't offer any expertise on your question, but I just posted multiple threads and noticed that the level of participation is not nearly what it used to be when I first joined--I didn't get any replies to one of my queries and one can see that others have failed to get replies. Hopefully, some kind soul with expertise will reply to you.
I can only think that participation has declined as the 850 has started to 'age out'. My '96 is a wonderful car, but it's getting harder and harder to find parts...

It's true that the level of participation has gone down over the past years, but some still participate. And many questions were answered long ago and can be found by searching the different forums.
think dglevy received some good comments on his posts, albeit only a few. As far as the PCV, yes, it's a pain in the neck to change, but it is doable by many, and from your photo, I think you've done the difficult parts. There is/was a good video on FCP on replacing the PCV on an 850. I found it helpful, although he went through it a bit quickly. I would look at the factory manuals for the routing of the hoses (a full set of manuals was posted recently on the other Volvo forum: (1) Volvo 850 Workshop Manual Help for DIY Timing Belt & ABS Repair | Volvo Owners Forum).
If you can't find the hose routing on the manual pages, come back with more questions. I am not sure what you mean by "where this goes". I assume you mean the short hose, but I'm not positive that's what you mean.
