Hey everyone, I have a question regarding the timing belt replacement on my Volvo 850. I recently purchased the SKF tensioner pulley for the job, but I've noticed that it has a considerably gap where the bolt is compared to the old one (look at the red arrows). It also moves a long the gap up and down (the green arrows) the old one does it aswhell but not as much. Is this normal? In the attached photo, the one on the left is the new pulley, while the one on the right is the old one. I want to make sure this is right. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Update: Turns out the quality fo the kit is just not good. The timing belt goes left to right a lot, i dont feel comfortable with the belt dancing that much so I am going to buy oem one. Money wasted and lesson learned. Dont buy SKF timing belt kit for your volvo 850.
