Nobody knows the condition of their turbo unless it gives them problems. I would not rule out a wreckers turbo, check for shaft play that a very good sign of condition.

 

And rebuild kits are cheap.. find the turbo you want for the price you want and rebuild it. why do all that work to put a ?% life turbo in your ride?

 

I found a 16T (which is a slight upgrade) on ebay for 200 bucks shipped. NO shaft play whatsoever.

Not to pimp other sites, but you can find used turbos over on volvospeed all the time, and the 16T is a direct bolt-on replacement for the 15G that you have.

 

What is the reason for replacing yours?
is yours shot? rebuilding it would be a cheaper option.

the reason I ask is there is a place here in miami called turbo clinic that has rebuilt numerous junkyard turbos for me, and they offer a 1 year warranty
