I'm just making sure the Mann C35148 IS in fact the OEM engine air filter for the Volvo 850, right? I'm about to buy one and don't want to buy an aftermarket one which might have skimped on filtration and/or flow.

Also, what is the OEM oil filter?

Not sure about air filter. I use a K & N box filter.

The OEM oil filter is the MANN W 917 I think.

 

That's a nice trick on the oil filter. I do that with a black marker on the rubber edge of the air filter and any color touch up paint on my fuel filter. It's nice to have the info right in your face and remind you if you see something a couple years old !!!

I used to buy the ink pens like they use in salvage yards but they always dry out from lack of use. Touch up paint is about the same price and lasts longer.
