out for a stroll with my 94 850 turbo today i heard some strange noises kind of like electrocution coming from my dash. I believe it was my ECC unit, which has been replaced before... constantly had problems with this. I kept thinking my car was about to catch fire, but it didn't. Later on I took my baby out and the lights on half of the ecc unit were no longer lit. The heat is still being produced and everything seems to work? Not sure whats up with it. Also found a strange electrical cable dangling under my front clip this evening near my non existing fog lights... never seen it before, any relation to my problem earlier in the day? it looks as though it should be plugged into something, not sure what. Help?

 

I doubt they are related.
If all still works then hard to tell.
