Default one last shot at the front bumper

as I stated about 3 weeks ago
my friend crashed my 97 R Wagon in to the curb while getting some ice at my wedding. I am trying to find a replacement for the front R bumper. The only one that I can find is from Volvo at $423. I would prefer he not pay that much but if I have no other options then that is what we will need to do. if you guys have any more ideas on where to get a bumper I would love to hear them.

Thanks,
Chet

If you can't find one at local wrecking yard you can try tasca.com or Myswedishparts.com. They might have the bumper cheaper but shipping on something that large might really hurt the savings on the part its self. Or you can get a hold of these guys to see if they might have the bumper you need. Shipping wouldn't be so bad since there about 6 hours away from you.

Have you checked Craigslist? Volvospeed? Look for people parting Rs? Junkyards? If you can't find one at any of those places, you're **** out of luck, they're highly sought after bumpers, so it's going to be really hard to find a used one.

Turbo's bumper assemblies (bumper and/cover) are hard enough. I can only imagine R bumpers are even harder. Through a quick search on car-part.com Gundies Auto Recycling in Seattle ($ 350, red) and 2470 Used Auto Parts in Huntsville, Missouri ($ 150, green) sell them. That's not very close to LA, is it? Maybe they can ship?

checked craigslist and volvospeed
no luck
they are tough to find
$150 sounds pretty good, although I think the shipping on something that big would take me to almost the same place as an OEM
I have a lead on one from a friend
hopefully it will work out

thank you very much for the help,
Chet
