Hello fellow Volvo owners....I currently own an 89 240 DL wagon and 2 weeks ago I bought a 97 850 T5 wagon.The difference between them is amazing.I will "talk" abt it more in a gen'l discussion...The owner's manual is missing and the previous owner gave it to me on a cd but I am unable to get anything off of it.I know the cd was produced when MSwindows 95 was the premement software...and mycurrent computer is windows xp...i tried the cd in an old windows 95 computer and all that came up was undecipherable machcine gobbleygook .....so my question ...Is there any site where i can find this manual and print it from my computer???One other question...What is the difference between the 850 GLT and the 850 T5?Both are turbo'ed so it must have to do with trim levels.I have had my friend and Volvo Specialist check this car out and it is in excellent condition with 140k miles.Will try to get some pix up soon .

Ah yes Thankyou gentlemen for the heads up.

 

Difference in GLT and T5 for 1997. The GLT used a low pressure turbo and has 190 HP while the T5 has a high pressure turbo and has 222 HP. The R also has high pressure turbo and has 240 HP. I don't thnk the trim levels are much different between T5 and GLT. The R has quite a bit different though. The GLT in earlier years was NOT a turbo. My desire right now is a 97 S70 T5 5 Speed in white or red. Very hard to find. The V70 is even harder to find. Matter of fact I'm not sure they even made them.
