Has anyone every tried replacing these? Looks like you have to drop the subframe to get to them? I have a pretty substantial leak i'd like to fix and looks like this is where its coming from.

 

Yes you do have to drop the sub-frame to get them out to fix the leak. Not sure what the shop gets to do the job.

There is another post I came across once with pictures but cannot locate it. May want to also consider a rebuilt unit and return yours as a core.

 

I might just try some lucas stop leak for now until i decide to drop the sub and replace the whole unit. My work is already cut out for me this weekend. New Cv axlels, control arms, shocks, struts, springs, SB elinks, rotors, pads, and pcv system.
