Default pass airbag curling

95 850, with a loose and curling passenger side airbag top, is the fix to replace the top cover or just glue back down? and if I replace it, where would I purchase one? Airbag has not gone off... Thanks Dave

Keep fooling around with it and it will. LOL, Just kidding. I would use a little super glue to tack it down if I were you. I'm sure you can purchase one but I would not be worth the cost.

Well i havent been fooling around with it too much, still working on bulbs. Got 2 in the instrument cluster burned out.

I read a write up on taking the dash top off, it talked about replacing that pad. Called a dealer (I try to never do that) bulbs were pretty cheap, but the airbag pad was FIVE HUNDRED STINKING BUCKS. That's 1/3 of what I bought the whole damn car for!

Before I really jump in I'll disconnect that purple airbag connector. Yeah I'll try gluing it.

How much do they sell the bulbs for? Our stealer wants $18 each for them. That's why I purchased some in bulk. I am selling off the extra bulbs that I have.

As for the Air Bag, I would not do anything other than lift the risen part a little, run the tip of the glue in the crack, press down on the pad to allow it to stick and leave it at that. Five minutes max.

Default bulbs and dash

rspi- Bulbs didnt seem too bad. the larger ones- Lighter, ashtray front and rear were about 5 bucks, the upper and LCD instrument bulbs were $3.25. I went to my local u pull it yard the other day and grabbed as many of the tiny switch bulbs as I could. Found 5 good ones so my switches are lit now. Never found out about the "performance" switch.

As far as the dash pad goes, it has several problems including the spot in the middle (to the right of the center vent) where some bozo didnt get a tab in correctly or something, sticks out, and the far right side of the dash seems loose, and it seems to hang down too low. I just cant leave well enough alone you know...And my glove box door is all hacked up with a cigarette burn...nice

Default pass airbag curl

rspi- I got the dash top off and ready to buy bulbs. As far as the curling airbag cover, I did see one link where the guy removed the airbag, glued the dash top edge and replaced the airbag top cover. I wont be replacing the airbag top cover, I'd like to just try a reglue. Is it safe to remove that airbag module? it is disconnected and whole dash top is sitting on my workbench. Is there a risk of setting that airbag off even with no electric hooked up? Dave

I read a post where a guy was messing around with a door panel or something in the S70 section and the bag went off. If you have it out of the car, the good thing is that it will not bust your windshield.
