Default Safe to remove pass airbag?

95 850- battery and airbag are disconnected and whole dash top is sitting on my workbench. Is it safe to remove the passenger airbag or is there a risk of having it go off? Thanks Dave

If you take the airbag off the dash pad, which you shouldn't have to, make sure it's not rested face down, and keep it away from kids / pets.
